Haven't posted anything in ages because I'm waiting for Stargate Atlantis to start again. I found a really exciting bit of news though.

Hollywood Fish Docks

No Wraith in it, of course, but we can't have everything.

I decided it would be nice to have more user pics so I've just uploaded one of Steve because he was really cute as well. All I have to do now is work out how to put it in place of the other one.

I've been very busy lately but most of it has been ordinary stuff so I won't bother writing about it. The most exciting thing was finding that Forbidden Planet will have a Wraith action figure available at the end of this month.

http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=35722

The description says he's from Season 1 but he's actually more like the Wraith scientist from Allies - you can tell that by his coat and what looks like a tattoo on his left temple. (You have to use a magnifier to see this but it's well worth the effort.)

Tiffany and I came up with some interesting questions about Wraith and we had a lot of fun trying to figure out the answers.

1: If a vampire from the Buffy/Angel universe turned a Wraith into a vampire, what would happen? We decided that the Wraith would probably end up very confused because he wouldn't know whether to feed in the normal way or go for the jugular vein and drink blood instead. Also, imagine the result if he put on a vampire face and grew extra long pointy teeth. He'd look like a cross between a Neanderthal and a Sabre-tooth Tiger. Tiffany then went all Jungian and said that when someone became a vampire his/her Shadow took control. They ended up with  no conscience and revelled in all the savage and dark side of human nature. It's all very deep and philosophical but I think I know what she means. As Wraith feed on humans anyway would there be any change in personality? What if they have nice Shadows? Would they be like vampires with souls and drink animal blood instead? We imagined them turning into gentle hippy types with flowers and beads in their hair and then went into fits of giggles at the thought of them hugging trees and and chanting things like "Peace and love." Alternatively they could go all broody like Angel and feel horribly guilty about all the humans they'd killed in the past..

2: Wraith mating habits could be interesting because they're a lot like insects. Do the Queens have the selected males for lunch afterwards? It's not an idea I'll use in my stories, though, because it wouldn't be very romantic. Then there's the fact that they're a telepathic species. We decided that the Queen and her boyfriend would have to switch off from the telepathic network during mating because broadcasting bedroom activities throughout the hive would be very distracting for the others - it could have serious repercussions if the ship's pilots were trying to negotiate something tricky like an asteroid belt at the time.

I'm not listening to my own music at the moment because Tiffany's here and she found a great song by Marilyn Manson on his Myspace page - it's called "If I Was Your Vampire."

He'd look wonderful as a Wraith. I wish he'd record a version of Copacabana.

Me and Kevin made up last night. He had gone out when he finished work and bought me The Jeremy Clarkson Collection, because we both like 'Top Gear'. That was quite thoughtful of him although really I like Richard Hammond best. Tiffany likes Jeremy - I think she has a thing about his curly hair, even though it now has a hole in it - so she wants to borrow them. (I'm not being rude about his hair because this is what he says himself.) Anyway, I gave him the Nutts bar I got from Lush and said I'd give him a massage. I mean I gave Kevin a Nutts bar, not Jeremy Clarkson. Tiffany would probably like to get busy on Jeremy with the Nutts bar, but my 'Top Gear' fantasy would be Sonic Death Monkey in the shower with the Hamster. I think it's a pity that no one on 'Top Gear' would make a good Wraith but they are all the wrong shape or size and would look silly. You can go to the Lush site and find out what the soaps and stuff are if you are interested. Here is the link:  http://www.lush.co.uk

I've just read this all through and it's a bit muddled, but that's because I've had some more pineapple Bacardi Breezers and I'm tired so I'm going to leave it as it is.

I haven't written anything in here for a few days because I've been busy at work. And Kevin's being really annoying. He's been watching a lot of football in the evenings and I got fed up with it, but when I tried to watch it with him - because all the magazines say you should try to share your partner's interests - he just got really cross with me.
I said that I thought some footballer or other would make a good Wraith because he had the right build and was quite distinctive looking, and Kevin said all I ever thought about was Wraith. So I said all he ever thought about was football and trainspotting. Then we had a big row, and I felt really fed up about it. So Tiffany and I had a girls' day out on our next day off.
We went up to Lincoln because the shops here don't sell very much that's interesting and Lincoln has got Tiffany's favourite shop which is Lush - they sell soaps and stuff for baths and skin, oh, and hair. (I mean they sell stuff for hair, not that they actually sell hair.)
Lush was the best bit of our day out because we went there after we'd had a pub lunch. Tiffany had had two pints of her favourite cider (White Diamond) and I'd had a couple of Bacardi Breezers (my favourite pineapple ones to cheer me up) so we were a bit tiddly. We started looking at all the things they sold and deciding which ones would be best for Wraith and anyone else on SGA.
Carson Beckett obviously should have The Happy Pill bath ballistic, because he needs a bit of sunshine in his gloomy days on account of that horrible episode 'Sunday', which I won't talk about in case someone reading this hasn't seen it. (But you won't like it when you do.) The pink-haired wraith could have Think Pink - this ballistic has a mildly narcotic fragrance with an edge to it. It said it's pink but not fluffy, so that would be good for a wraith. Tiffany suggested Mange Too for Ronan, but I think she was just being rude about his hair. It's a honey and chocolate massage bar. (Mange Too, I mean, not Ronan's hair.) Next Tiffany pointed out Iridescent Glitterbug, and I got the giggles because I thought it sounded like one of Michael's experiments with the Iratus bug that had gone horribly wrong. Tiffany then suggested the Bring Me Sunshine gift pack for Rodney to cheer him up, but I said I didn't think the eight citrus bath products in it would revive him at all as he's allergic to citrus. And then she got the giggles too. The staff in the shop in the shop were giving us funny looks so we tried to be sensible and decided that Elizabeth could have the 'My Fair Lady' gift pack, with floral essential oils, and Teyla could have Amazonian (a big strong and powerfully sexy massage bar - she could share it with Ronan).
Then I spotted the black toothpaste - which is a citrus and Indian sandalwood flavoured tooth gel. It uses charcoal to get teeth really clean, which is why it's black, and you have to wash it out really well. I told Tiffany that this must be what the Wraith use, only obviously they don't clean it off their teeth and gums properly which is why they look so yucky. We got the giggles again - even worse this time - so we thought we'd better buy our stuff and leave quickly before we got thrown out. Tiffany would never forgive me if I got her banned from her favourite shop.
It was a great day though, and I felt much better for having a good laugh with a friend. The Bacardi Breezers helped a bit too!

It's my half day off so I've got time to update my journal.

Tiffany enjoyed her date with Mortimer. They went to a nice quiet pub and then he took her home to see his keyring collection. He has over 2,000 now but he only buys the ones he really likes.

Tiffany brought him round to meet us yesterday evening and he and Kevin spent the time watching sport on TV. As this was a bit boring Tiffany and I invented a new game inspired by that cute Wraith with the goggles from 'Sateda' - Pin The Goggles On The Wraith. It was great fun seeing where our Wraith ended up wearing them.

I've had some more ideas for my story too.

Didn't have time to write anything yesterday. It was back to stocking shelves at work although I couldn't stop thinking of my stories. A few packets of breakfast cereal ended up with the washing powders but luckily I noticed before anyone else did.

Kevin had a special trainspotters' meeting in the evening so Tiffany came round to help me design my Wraith toilet roll covers. We gave up in the end, though - no matter what we did they looked like they were wearing black crinolines. I'll have to think of something else Wraith related to make everyone for Xmas.

Nothing interesting happened at work today. Tiffany's got a date with her new boyfriend, Mortimer, and Kevin's writing up his trainspotting journal. I've been making some more notes for my stories so here are my latest thoughts.

Me and Kevin went to Cleethorpes for the day. It's got the Greenwich Meridian running through it so you can stand with a foot in each hemisphere - this is really exciting. Here is a webpage about Cleethorpes. Take note of the section headed 'Beware' because it warns you that WW2 mines have been known to wash up on the beach.

Lots of birds stay here over winter and this gave me a brilliant idea for a Doctor Who/SGA crossover story - The Dunlins Of Doom. It will be a sequal to the other story I'm writing where the Wraith Queen and her hive take over England.

I'm getting bored with knitting tea cosies. Nobody uses teapots these days 'cos they all put teabags straight in their mugs. I love knitting and crafts, though, so I'm going to try other things. People still use toilet rolls so I'm designing Wraith toilet roll covers. I'm sure all my friends and family will love one for Xmas as I think they've got fed up with tea cosies they can't use. A Wraith Queen toilet roll cover would look particularly nice in Tiffany's bathroom because she likes her rooms to convey her essential femininity.

I was wondering how Wraith evolved so I thought I'd try reading some books by the biologist Richard Dawkins to get ideas. He has lots of information about genes and things but I don't know how I could use any of it for writing romantic Wraith fan fiction. I've heard he's got a website now so maybe I could email him and ask him for some suggestions.

I've found some nice pics of Richard Dawkins on the internet. He'd have made a lovely Wraith when he was younger - long hair and a trenchoat would have suited him.

Easter Sunday and my birthday. I had a very strange dream last night about chocolate eggs hatching Wraith. Tiffany says this is full of archetypal symbolism and suggested that I read some books about Jungian psychology.

I had some brilliant presents. Everyone knows how much I like the song 'Copacabana' so I got albums with different versions of it. I'll come back later when I've listened to them all.

I bought lots of fudge and we came back through Grimsby so I could see the Dock Tower. It's ever so famous now because of that fish advert on TV but this probably hasn't been shown outside Britain. Here is a web page about it with a picture. Imagine Wraith Darts flying past it like I did. This gave me a brilliant idea for a story.

http://www.nelincs.gov.uk/leisure/libraries/docktower.htm

It starts off with the events of Allies but the two Wraith hive ships find Earth instead. The other one goes to Australia but the Queen from the TV episode takes over England. I've got this wonderful image of that incredibly sexy Wraith scientist walking through the docks at sunset. I'm not sure why he'd want to do this yet but I'll think of a reason. This webpage has one of those Panorama view thingies from the top of the Dock Tower so you can get an idea of the scenery.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/humber/content/panoramas/dock_tower1_360.shtml

A Bit Later
I've just had another brilliant idea. Instead of Rodney and Ronon being on the Hive ship it's Rodney and Teyla. The Wraith scientist falls madly in love with her because she's part Wraith. They can then take a romantic stroll through the docks at sunset. I'm not sure what to do with Rodney, though, because I don't think the Wraith Queen would fancy him. I think Teyla can ask if he can be put in a cell and the scientist does this for her.

Big decision. Should the scientist keep wearing that shorter black jacket or should he feel cold and put on a trenchcoat for his walk? A trenchcoat could billow around him because of the wind from the North Sea - this would add a melodramatic Gothic effect.

I've got Easter off and my boyfriend Kevn's train spotting so I'm going to make my first entry.

My userpic is my favourite Wraith because I love his pink hair. It makes me think of candy floss and My Little Ponies. I think there should be a range of My Little Wraith toys. They'd look lovely sitting on a shelf in my bedroom and my best friend Tiffany could help me brush and comb their hair. Tiffany knows all about hair because it's one of her hobbies.

Another favourite Wraith of mine is the one with those funny goggle type things in Sateda. He reminds me of Legolas from the LOTR movies. I think he'd look really cute sitting up in a tree singing Elf songs. It's a shame that Ronon killed him - Tiffany says it would have been so much more romantic if they'd become friends and done each other's hair. (I hope this doesn't count as a spoiler. Ronon's always killing Wraith so if he's in an episode with some we all know what he's going to do.)

I have to go now because Kevin's just come back and he's going to take me to a windmill to buy some fudge.
